Interesting take on bunkers! I’ve always seen them as a foundational part of preparedness, but I get the concerns you raised. The idea that they’re not a long-term solution definitely hits home. If the SHTF for an extended period, everyone has to eventually come out and face reality; supplies won’t last forever.

I do lean towards the self-sufficient communities idea. They seem more sustainable and versatile than a static bunker. But I wonder how feasible it is to find a good one. Just moving to a remote area doesn’t guarantee safety either.

That waste disposal issue is a biggie too! It’s easy to overlook but really crucial. If you're stuck in a confined space with nowhere to put waste, things could get nasty fast.

Overall, I think it's about balancing options and finding what works best for you. Whether it’s a boat or a community, mobility and self-sufficiency seem key in today's world. Just gotta keep prepping and adapting! 🚀
