Aces Up Solitaire

Aces Up Solitaire

Aces Up Solitaire is a single-player card game that's all about skill and strategy. The objective is to clear the tableau by removing all the cards except the Aces, following specific rules.

Setup:

  1. Use a standard 52-card deck for Aces Up Solitaire.
  2. Shuffle the deck and deal four tableau columns, each containing four cards, face up.
  3. Place the Aces in a separate foundation row at the top.

Objective:

  1. The goal is to clear the tableau by removing all the cards except the Aces. You can remove cards in pairs of the same suit, with the lower-ranked card on top of the higher-ranked card.

Round Play:

  1. You can remove a pair of cards from the tableau if they are of the same suit, and the lower-ranked card is on top of the higher-ranked card. For example, if you have a 4 of Hearts and a 5 of Hearts, you can remove the 4.
  2. You can move a card to an empty column if it doesn't create a pair, and you hope to create a pair with it in a later move.
  3. When you remove a card, the card beneath it becomes available for play.
  4. The Aces serve as foundation cards and cannot be removed.

Winning:

  1. The game is won when all cards except the Aces have been successfully removed from the tableau.

Losing:

  1. The game is lost when no more pairs can be removed from the tableau, and there are still cards left on the tableau.

Tips:

  • Plan your moves carefully to create pairs and clear the tableau.
  • Utilize empty columns to strategically move cards and set up pairs.
  • Aim to keep the Aces in the foundation row while clearing the tableau.
  • Be cautious about which pairs you choose to remove to avoid getting stuck later.

Aces Up Solitaire is a card game that requires careful planning and strategy. It's known for its simplicity and engaging gameplay, where the goal is to clear the tableau by removing cards in pairs, leaving only the Aces behind.
